Macaroni short
Soubry macaroni has a slightly curved, concave shape, allowing for ideal absorption of sauces. Whoever says macaroni automatically means macaroni with cheese and ham, a classic to say the least.
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 200°C. Bring a large pot of water to the boil.
- Cut the apple, with its peel, into cubes and place in an oven dish.
- Sprinkle the cubes with olive oil, salt and pepper. Roast for 10-15 minutes until nicely browned.
- Cook the macaroni according to the instructions on the package. Add the broccoli and cauliflower florets 3 minutes before the macaroni is ready.
- Drain the macaroni, cauliflower and broccoli and add to the roasted apple in the oven dish. Pour over the béchamel sauce and half of the grated cheese, stir well. Cover the baking dish with the other half of the grated cheese and sprinkle with olive oil.
- Place in the oven for 20-25 minutes until nicely browned.
